inK Shadow Support

Your Child's Bridge To Social Integration

About Us

inK Shadow Support is built on our passion to help children who are socially awkward or have learning difficulties maximise their full potential and develop holistically. We work with a team of professionals including Educational Psychologist, Speech-Language Pathologist as well as Early Intervention and Special Education Teachers to offer integrated intervention services.

Our Approach

1. Helping your child gain independence

With a focus on building your child’s skills at every opportunity, our Shadow Teachers aim to help your child become independent in school.

Our Shadow Teachers play the role of a coach, intervening only when necessary and are trained to identify opportunities for your child to learn independence while being conscious of when he or she needs their assistance.

3. Establishing open communication

We believe that strong rapport between the Shadow Teacher and parents are critical for your child’s growth. Our Shadow Teachers will update you regularly on your child’s progress and happenings in school and take note of your feedback. We want you to be assured that your concerns for your child are addressed and he or she is in good hands.

A feedback loop between the Case Manager, Shadow Teacher and parents will be established so that everyone is aware of your child’s latest development and are working together to achieve the child’s learning goals and improved outcomes.

2. Determine your child’s needs first

First of all, we will need to determine if this is the best approach for your child, our team of professionals will assess your child’s specific needs by various assessment approach depending on the conditions of your child.

Once we have identified the specific learning needs of the child, a Case Manager will be appointed followed by the selection of the most suitable Shadow Teacher who will then work closely with our team of professionals to implement the learning goals that meet the learning needs of your child.
